This Privacy Policy describes how the trun iOS app ("trun", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app.

Information we collect

• Location data. trun records your GPS location while a run is active so it can map your route, distance, pace, and elevation. Location data is used only while the app is running or a run is in progress.
• Account information. If you sign in, we store a unique user identifier to associate your runs with your account.
• Run data. Routes, times, splits, and related run statistics you record in the app.
• Shared run sessions. If you join a synchronized run with another user, your live location during that session is shared with the other participant through our backend so the run can be displayed in real time.

How we use information

• To record, display, and save your runs on your device.
• To enable synchronized running between you and another user you choose to run with.
• To support Live Activities, which display your run progress on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.

Data storage

Your run history is stored on your device. Account information and active shared-run sessions are stored in Firebase services provided by Google. Shared-run session data is removed after the run ends.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. Live location is only shared with users you actively join a synchronized run with.

Your choices

• Location permission. You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings. The app cannot record runs without it.
• Delete your account. You can delete your account and associated data from inside the app. This removes your account record and any data tied to it.

Children

trun is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
